Binding for everyone: members, guests, DJs, booked third parties and venue staff. No exceptions.

l'obscurité de la culture e. V. is committed to a respectful, discrimination-free and safe environment.

This Code of Conduct is a binding guideline. Following it is not optional. It is the condition for being part of what we do, on the floor and behind the scenes.

  • Respect and appreciation

    Everyone is treated with respect. Valuing each other is essential. Degrading, discriminatory, disrespectful or transgressive behaviour is not tolerated. This expressly includes any form of sexual harassment or unwanted physical contact.

  • Community and cooperation

    We foster a supportive and collegial way of working together. Team spirit and mutual help are basic principles of everything we do.

  • Zero tolerance for discrimination and hate

    Any form of discrimination is prohibited, including racism, sexism, ableism, queerphobia, antisemitism and antiziganism. We actively work for an inclusive and diverse community. There is no place for far-right, neo-Nazi or otherwise inhumane ideology. People who hold or spread such ideologies are excluded from our events.

  • Communication and transparency

    We aim for open and direct exchange. Constructive feedback is understood as an opportunity to develop. Decision-making processes are made transparent.

  • Joy and lightness

    A positive atmosphere matters to us. Creativity and enjoying the work we do together should be encouraged.

  • Sustainability and responsibility

    Resources are used consciously and sustainably. The association aims for environmentally friendly alternatives and promotes responsible action.

  • Reflection and development

    Self-reflection is encouraged. Criticism is seen as a chance to improve. Education comes before prohibition.

  • Structures and decision-making

    The association keeps hierarchies flat. Decisions are made democratically, and everyone involved has a voice.

  • Awareness and mindfulness at events

    At our events, and especially at our electronic music parties, we place particular value on awareness and mindfulness. Any kind of transgressive behaviour is not tolerated. Everyone is responsible for a respectful and safe environment.

  • No-photo policy

    To protect privacy, a no-photo policy applies at our parties. Photos and videos may only be taken and published with the explicit consent of the people shown.

Binding force and enforcement

This Code of Conduct is binding for all members of the association, guests at our parties, DJs, booked third parties and members of the venue. Violations can lead to consequences determined by the association.

Our goal is a respectful, appreciative and discrimination-free way of being together. Everyone involved carries responsibility for upholding these principles.
